A mouse hole located near the roots of a tree serves as a habitat for small mammal species. Mice are social creatures and often live in groups. Naturally curious, they explore their environment, constantly seeking food and shelter. Mice are highly adaptable and can live in a wide range of environments, including fields, forests, and human habitats.

This mouse hole was found under a tree at the Prater, a large public park located in Vienna’s second district. This axial-oriented park is 4,5 km long and is home to more than 2,600 trees.
